Make sure the ground is not muddy when you use it. It works better when ground is dry. |

First time do not push to hard because you may go to deep and get the tool stuck. If you do get the tool stuck then just reverse drill to remove tool from ground. (This is the only time you have to reverse the drill) |

Wear gloves when using the Dandy™. This will allow you to re tighten the chuck. If the chuck comes lose the tool will fall out. |

If you want to go deep with the Dandy™. It is like drilling any kind of hole do not try to dig it all at once. Start with 2” to 3” then pull tool from ground. Then put tool back in the same hole & continue deeper. Repeat to desired depth. |

Remember to use a fresh battery when using a cordless drill. We recommend a 12 volt or higher. The larger volts mean you will dig more weeds before you have to charge the battery. A 6 volt drill will dig the weeds but will not do very many with a single charge. |

Do a ground test first. If you cannot stick a screwdriver into the ground it is very hard and will need to be softened first. To soften ground water lightly and allow water to soak into ground. Make sure the ground does not become muddy. If ground is muddy wait until following day & remove your weeds with the Dandy™. Wait until it rains & dig your weeds the following day. |

The best way to remove your dandelions from your lawn area. Take 10 minutes before you cut your grass & weed your lawn. Start with the biggest weeds. Just leave weeds on the grass then cut your grass. All weeds will be taken care of by the mower. It is best to mulch your grass. |

If you mulch your grass the only thing you have to pick up first is when your weed has gone to seed. This is usually seen as a white fluffy stem growing off your weed. This is the only thing that needs to be picked up the rest of the weed will be mulched and will dry up & die in the sun. |

Leaving the leaves of the dandelion will not grow. For cosmetic reasons you will pick up the leaves or mulch them. |

We recommend that you go no deeper then 4 inches to kill any dandelion. If you feel you have to go deeper then you can. Our studies show that for dandelions you do not need to go any deeper than 4 inches. |
